How does a smart camera work?
A smart camera contains a built-in processor, facilitating immediate calculations. Although the calculation capacity for the current generation of smart cameras is still somewhat limited, there are certainly possibilities for practical applications. In machine vision systems, smart cameras can supply input for computer systems. A smart camera contains all necessary communication interfaces, for example an ethernet, industrial I/O-lines for connection to a PLC, actuators, relays or pneumatic valves.

Smart cameras: advice and support
There are lots of suppliers of smart cameras. We have prepared a special selection of A brands that we work with: Zebra/MATROX for 2D sensors and LMI for 3D sensors.

Our company’s strength lies in the excellent demos and support we provide for all the products in our range. This is why we choose to specialise in the product lines from these two strong brands.

Which smart camera best suits your needs, depends on the type of inspection, the required image quality and the physical conditions around the object and the camera. Our engineers provide custom advice so that the camera delivers the required results.
