Camera Link cameras

Camera Link (CL) is a serial communication protocol designed for computer vision applications. Camera Link is an extremely robust and powerful interface designed for industrial cameras in all performance categories. The bandwidth available with Camera Link is suitable for very small cameras and cameras with different megapixel resolutions and often hundreds of frames per second. Camera Link is currently the recommended standard interface for data rates from 100 MB / s to about 800 MB / s.

Because Camera Link is specifically designed for use with industrial cameras, it can process large amounts of data easily and securely. All components in a Camera Link solution must comply with the Camera Link standard.

If you are not sure what digital camera interface to choose, you can use the Basler Interface Advisor. This tool helps you decide which interface best suits your individual needs: visit the interface advisor

2. Basler frame rate calculator

The Basler Frame Rate Calculator calculates the frame rate or line scan speed for your Basler areascan or linescan camera as soon as a few parameters are specified. For example, if you have the desire to define an area of interest (AOI). The tool determines the maximum framerate or line scan speed that can be achieved:  to the Frame Rate Calculator
